EATING DISORDERS COALITION

The federal advocacy organization for eating disorders. Their mission is to advance the federal recognition of eating disorders as a public health priority, working with Congress to effectively influence policy. Their goals include raising awareness among policy makers and the public at large about the serious health risks of eating disorders; promoting improved access to care; increasing resources for research, education, prevention, and improved training; increasing funding for scientific research; promoting initiatives that support the healthy development of children; mobilizing concerned citizens to advocate on behalf of people with eating disorder, their families and professionals in the field.
